I’m a big fan of smoothies, especially one that is anti-inflammatory and delicious! Turmeric has been shown to be effective in aiding in recovery from injuries by reducing inflammation naturally. The bioavailability of turmeric’s amazing properties is enhanced by 2000% when consumed with black pepper. Piperine found in black pepper is responsible for the increased bioavailability. Turmeric is also an antioxidant which helps our bodies fight oxidative stress. Research has shown that there are many benefits to consuming turmeric regularly such as: improving insulin resistance, decreasing high blood pressure, reducing inflammation, and recovery from injury.

Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie


  • 2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk

  • 2 cups Pineapple (diced into chunks)

  • 1 tbsp Ginger (peeled and grated)

  • 1/2 cup Vanilla Protein Powder

  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds

  • 1 tsp Turmeric (powder)

  • Smidge of Black Pepper


  1. Combine all ingredients together in a blender and blend very well until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
